Letter From Jacques Whittle - CEO

8 June 2022

Dear Nebula Team

The last couple of years have truly been trying and we are thankful to all that, together, and by grace from above, we were able to run the businesses, provide a caring service and protect employment in our team. Yes, expenses are higher and most have limited ability to control given the economic landscape and political mis-management evident in our nation. Our margins have been tight, but fortunately we are able to take hands and scrum together in faith to protect employment and retain our contracts as best we can. This pressure, however, is also forcing us to think differently with regards to the future and look at alternative means to keep expenses within the group and enhance revenue opportunity into the market.

This has brought us to a point to enhance two critical competencies, but also to ensure we live our values to all stakeholders. We are a people business and we need to ensure that we lead the best we can in this arena. We are about our nation and our communities and instilling a God-fearing value system, back into our areas of influence.

To this extent, Nebula leadership has decided to strengthen our people management capability and focus into the market, with the onboarding of Sharon Grobler as Managing Executive for Nebula Management Services, enhancing our ability and effort in people development, compliance and leverage of Government schemes to onboard and develop the next generation, but also to provide capacity to us as team for growth.

We have new and exciting things planned for our Management Services entity and Sharon has many years of experience in the HR/IR and procurement field, which will help drive Management Services forward. All HR/IR services to the Nebula team and all people development will be driven via our People Management business unit, which will also offer contingency resources to our clients and to the market in general.

This practically also means that all Human Resources, payroll, recruitment, training and any HR queries need to be directed to Sharon, who will be supported by Leon and the admin team.

In an effort to become more nimble and smarter in our approach to market and drive additional revenue streams in order to increase our returns to cover an increase in costs, I know we can count on you to welcome Sharon to our team, and we I know many of you (with same grey hair like mine) will remember Sharon in some of our previous engagements.

We are very pleased to introduce Sharon Grobler Managing Executive for Management Services.

Please join me in welcoming Sharon to our team, and through our “We Care” value drive our professionalism in how we drive my “culture” heart into our organisation.

Sincerely,

Jacques Whittle
CEO
